COVID-19 sensitization organized by the Lagos State Government in Nigeria recorded massive attendance. The programme was attended by traditional rulers and subjects from rural communities,, market women, captains of industries, school managers, parents, drivers.

Since the Coronavirus first case in Nigeria about a week ago in Lagos, the Lagos State government explores all efforts to see that the epidemic is contained in Lagos State and in Nigeria. They expressed fears of COVID -19 getting into the rural populace.

The Lagos state commissioner for health advised citizens there is no cause to fear, but to adhere strictly on the preventive measures: washing of hands with sanitizers.

The quarantine facility is ready in Lagos but the same facility in Gwgagwalada FCT is yet to be completed as the time of inspection by the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawal on Wednesday. He blamed the Minister of Finance, Budget and national planning for failure to release the money to get the facility ready immediately as planned.
