Fashion Designers in Cross River State have joined the state government in free distribution of facemasks. Cross River is one of the states in Nigeria yet to record an index case to COVID-19. The state government in collaboration with public-spirited individuals did not relax but engage in free distribution of facemask and its enforcement.
It is compulsory that everyone wears facemask to move around in Cross River State and the task force is deployed along all roads in the state to ensure compliance.
The State government has assembled tailors in the state to ensure mass production of facemask for free distribution to the people of the state.
Imabong Tk-Eyo, a female fashion designer who spoke to the Channels TV says she makes facemasks and distributes freely to friends and neighbours as her personal contribution in ensuring that COVID-19 does not get to Cross River State. Also, Patience Unwanyi, another female fashion designer shared the same story.
