
Professor Charles Egbu of Anambra State Nigeria has been appointed the Vice-Chancellor of Leeds University, UK. His appointment was made public in the early hours of today, Wednesday, 15th July, 2020.
Professor Charles Egbu hails from Abatete, Idemili North LGA Anambra State of Nigeria,
He is the first Black VC of a UK University or College following his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University.
According to the university official website, Professor Egbu, once a student and later a lecturer in Leads University will assume office on 1st November, 2020.
He is to take over from Professor Margaret who will step down after seven years as Vice-Chancellor.
