Nigeria students should sleep with one eye open especially when playing a host to a fellow student. It is good for one to welcome a visitor to one’s house or apartment, but what they have with them may not be welcomed.
The quest to get rich quick had continued to put some students in unbearable predicaments, and an end to their career and future. Some get mad trying to make money and others are caught and put to jail. This category of students engage in the dirty online business, commit crimes and the likes called “Yahoo Plus”
Last month the story of a student at the University of Ado Ekiti was in the news. This month, it is a FUTO student. The question is how many students that engage in this that nemesis still spare? Your guess is a good as that of Campusaga Media. Therefore it is an onus on Nigeria Students to be very careful in the personal quests and in socialization.
The story of the Federal University of Technology Student who escaped being a victim of money ritual in the hands of a fellow coursemate may draw you closer to the concerns of Campusaga Media. The suspect is also guessed to be a cultist who engages in “Yahoo Plus” activity.
“He (the suspect) called me at a late hour of the night, appealing to allow him to sleep over at my place. I sent him the address, and when he came he narrated to me how he was arrested by the police and the other stories afterwards.”
” He told me that he doesn’t want more trouble, so he decided to lie low at my place. He insisted I go get him something to eat. I had to borrow N200 from my lodge mate and on my way, I started asking myself why should he be insisting I get him something knowing how dangerous Umuchima can be at night but I only prayed to God to take control.”
” I cooked for him but he refused to eat, saying that I put something in the food which I didn’t. ”
“Some minutes past 12.00 am, he came to the bed telling me that the music I was playing was disturbing him because he hasn’t slept for about 2 days. Suddenly he started making incantations. I initially thought it was funny not until he started asking me why I haven’t slept off. I told him I would sleep when the time comes.”
” Although secretly, I was praying. At 2.00 am, he started beating me up and when I was shouting, he told me that no one can hear my voice. I struggled with him for so long, destroying the property in my room. At 2.30am, my lodge mates started coming for my rescue and by God’s grace, I could open the door for them.”
The suspect was later handed over to DSS.
