Address by TC Chairman Ayamelum

The ideation of a community-level awareness campaign to safeguard both public and private structures in Ayamelum was as a result of the destruction of public and private property across the country a few days ago that sprawled from hoodlums, deviating the original intention of the peaceful #EndSARS protesters witnessed across the country and overseas for two weeks.

Hon Barr Ben A.Onyeabo commended the #EndSARS peaceful protesters in their genuine intentions but condemned the violence that ensued when hoodlums infiltrated the peaceful protest. He told Ayamelum youths and stakeholders to resist any attempt to use them to perpetrate evil in the name of the #EndSARS protest. While noting that concerns conveyed by the peaceful youth protesters are being taken care of at all levels of government, he called on the people of Ayamelum to guard against the wanton destruction of public and private property in the Local Government Council by hoodlums. He enjoined the representatives who were in attendance to take the message to their various communities.
